On Writing:

I started writing because I believe in the importance of our stories; our time here should be documented. A memory revisited in the right way can uplift, challenge, and inspire a reader. These stories are my lessons and discoveries as I create my version of the American Dream.

How I Slept is dedicated to recording different takes on American living. For me, there is something beautiful and honest about telling a story from the middle, while it is still unfolding. These collections cover learning, loving, and having fun, things we often forget to do with time. I aim to inform and inspire.

I will try not to be boring, but I'll make no promises.

Please, enjoy the ride.

I like to see people win and loved well.

On Writing:

Few things inspire me more than a well-told story. My fondest dreams and some of my best memories have come as a result of the books I have read and the stories I have heard. I would not be where I am and who I am without them. The beauty of writing is that it can connect people across oceans, classes and generations. To inspire others as I was (and still am) would be amazing.
