On Writing:

I started writing because I am alive and I believe that our lives should be documented; our perspectives are important. I have stories and believe they can uplift, and challenge readers. These stories are my memories and lessons as I create my version of the American Dream.

How I Slept is dedicated to documenting what I have discovered and learned while accomplishing my dreams. For me, there is something beautiful and honest about telling a story from the middle, while it is still being written. These collections cover living, learning, loving, and having fun, even when I am not entirely sure how to do so. I aim to inform, enrich and inspire whoever needs it. Please, enjoy the ride.

I will try not to be boring, but I'll make no promises.

When the Lord asks me what I did with my life I will say that I left it all on the table. Everyone ate.

On Writing:

I started writing because my sister did. I continued writing because, having previously connected with people over ideas, having a way to connect across various channels sounded cool.

“Tomorrow Will Be Different” as a title is from a quote in Manuscript Found in Accra by Paulo Coelho. As a blog, it is a response to that quote; a series of essays and stories filled with my thoughts on how to escape dreams of wishful thinking and nightmares of regret.

The ultimate goal?

To offer others another perspective, my own, as they achieve their dreams.
